What's New

MOTS Thymos

Monocibec Thymos (MOTS) - New Series

Thymos is inspired by a marble from the Anatolian peninsula that seemingly preserves the breath of the Earth. It is a material of rare beauty that is defined by measured contrasts and an innate refinement. The chromatically uniform background is mottled with delicate nuances, and the foreground has fine and warm veining which runs across the surface in multiple directions. The brushed finish introduces an elegant note of brightness like the soft reflection of filtered light. It recalls the time-worn surfaces and enhances the depth, color tones and graphic details.
MCDA Delicata

Marca Corona Delicata (MCDA) - New Series

Marca Corona excels at white marbles and Delicata is the new collection showcasing their special skill and expanding the concept into warmer tones. The Calacatta Velato is timeless, sophisticated and remarkably subtle, with veins that are so gently rendered that it really looks like they are underneath the surface, and some pieces have almost no veining at all. The Pure Avorio is a honey onyx. It’s warm and inviting, and the same technique of layered graphics creates a depth where it feels like you are looking through a translucent surface to what’s beneath. The Taj Cristallo is the much sought-after Cristallo version of Taj Mahal. They worked hard to get the color just right and also toned down the graphic of the real marble to make it even more appealing. The Velvet finish feels like a honed surface, that is smooth but still passes DCOF.
SAFA Formaviva

Sartoria Formaviva (SAFA) - New Series

Formaviva is a collection born to evoke calm, timeless elegance, and a sense of contemporary ceramic craftsmanship. Its 5x10 porcelain size - compact and harmonious - is cloaked in a glossy glaze with the depth and vibrancy of antique enamel. The glaze is thick and luxurious, and it is glossy without being overly reflective, creating a surface that catches the light like still water. A single finish unites all three elements of the collection: the smooth base tile, refined in its purity, and the graceful Botanic and Woven decorations, where form becomes a quiet expression of beauty.
NRCE Cottage

Natucer Cottage (NRCE) - New Series

With Cottage, Natucer presents a terracotta look in extruded porcelain. Extrusion, an artisanal ceramic process working with wet clay, is the perfect technology to mimic this natural material as each piece feels handcrafted with slightly cushioned, uneven edges and size variation. In addition, the line has beautiful shading that adds to the handcrafted look including pieces that have linear movement as well as spots and indentations that would occur in a traditional firing cycle in an old kiln. The Stars and Crosses add to the traditional look and allow for some fun designs. Knowing that Cottage is a line people will want to use on patios, we also have the 12x12 available in an R11 finish. Please note that the R11 finish is created using a different glaze, making it slightly more muted than the natural finish. Customers should review actual samples.
fornace sannini

Cotto Manetti Fornace Sannini (CMFS) - New Series

Since 1780, in the Chianti region of Tuscany, the Manetti family has been dedicated to the production of Cotto Imprunetino for 8 generations. By using the local raw materials and traditional artisanal production techniques, they proudly make a true terracotta that has unique technical and aesthetic properties. Fornace Sannini renews the tradition of cotto combining the tactile pleasure of a handmade product with the strength and absorption properties of the best industrial products. Manufactured employing extrusion technology, each single piece has, similar to handmade tiles, its own distinct identity. Shading and variation are created through a completely natural process; it’s all about the clay, the firing cycle and the position in the kiln.
pulse

Sartoria Pulse (SAPE) - New Series

Sartoria’s Pulse is aptly named for both the word’s meanings. They certainly have their finger on the pulse of what is hot in ceramic tile, and the beauty of these two colors is sure to make your heart beat faster. With Pulse they are playing with glaze and surface structure. By using reactive glazes, they are able to achieve deep jewel tones with the lavish depth they deserve. The craquele effect adds to that depth and makes the flat tile complex and beautiful on its own. When combined with the Prism structure, the full effect is realized where the angles are exploited to create games of shadows and reflections. The reactive glazes make this a specialty tile that feels like a hand-crafted material which means that there will be slight imperfections in the glaze and surface that add to the character of the product.
nature

Amadis Nature (ASNE) - New Series

Amadis Nature is a porcelain tile made by traditional ceramic techniques that create a hand-crafted look. The bisque has a linear surface structure that is achieved by using 6 different molds. The factory used special reactive glazes (except the Talc) in rich jewel tones that are then applied directly onto the bisque (without engobe) so the color of the bisque shows through the areas where the glaze is translucent. The glazes spread and pool into the nooks and crannies of the structure creating natural movement and variation in the look, and a surface that is much flatter than it appears making it easier to install and maintain. The reactive glazes enhance the depth, glossiness and visual impact of the material.
tweed

Amadis Tweed (ASTD) - New Series

Amadis Tweed is a porcelain tile made by traditional ceramic techniques that create a hand-crafted look. The bisque has a linear surface structure that is achieved by using 6 different molds. The factory used reactive glazes especially developed to create a craquele effect. The glazes are applied directly onto the bisque (without engobe) so the color of the bisque shows through the areas where the glaze is translucent. The glazes spread and pool into the nooks and crannies of the structure creating movement and variation and a surface that is much flatter than it appears. The depth of the reactive glaze and richness of the craquele finish combines seamlessly with the subtle color palette making this a tile that shows the very best of what ceramic tile can be.

intarsi

Vallelunga Intarsi (VAII) - New Series

This is a superior quality product with detailed graphics and an exceptional finish that really give the impression of an intricate mosaic floor or wall. It looks truly amazing when installed! However, due the special nature of the material, it’s critical to have it installed properly. This is not a DIY type material. Customers should make sure to select a qualified and expert craftsman who is willing to spend the time and effort needed to do it right. This will include doing a dry layout including moving and rotating pieces to get the best alignment and knowing where each piece will go. Also - it should be noted that the 24 x 48 size eliminates most grout joints and creates an almost seamless finish, but this also means that where the pieces meet the patterns have small modifications, and there can be slight misalignments of the patterns from piece to piece. The installer will need to work with this and show customers the dry lay out before setting the tile to make sure that you are satisfied with the final effect.
